AZA 5K: Run for your life!

WHAT:
Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse 5K is a fun, family-friendly event to celebrate fitness in an exciting road race experience. This isn’t a race for the faint of heart, or runners trying to achieve their personal best. The goal is to cross the finish line … alive!

The AZA5K will wind through the historic Grant Park and Ormewood Park neighborhoods. Along the course, runners and walkers will encounter zombies who will scare, chase and entertain! Participants start the race with 3 flags on their waist; zombies will try to grab the flags as unsuspecting runners and walkers pass by. Winners in all race groups must cross the finish line with at least 1 flag.

AZA5K is a benefit race for Maynard Jackson High School PTSA.
Students in the drama and art programs will participate with props, makeup and costumes. Student groups throughout the school will also have the opportunity to participate as zombies. The race t-shirt design will be the winner of submissions by Maynard Jackson High School students.

The race is intended to bring the students and the racing community together for a great cause.
